- Spring has finally sprung!
- Today is April Fool's day.
- I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee this morning before being fooled.
- Thanks, Carole!
- I could try to claim that she was able to get me because of the lack of caffeine, but alas, that would be a lie.
- I worked last Saturday at The Yarn Sellar - I'm sure Patti & Roger are happy that I was there to complete the ONE sale that took place all day!
- Patti came to hang out with me for most of the afternoon and Roger came and had lunch, so the day wasn't a total loss :-)
- I did a lot of knitting while there.
- Finished my Mink Cowl
- The color is actually something in between these too pictures.
- Pattern: Spiral Cowl by Keri McKiernan Yarn: Great Northern Yarns, 70% mink 30% cashmere
- I made mine much narrower than the pattern called for; I wanted a closer fitting cowl.
- This yarn is magic; it goes from feeling somewhat soft in the skein to being the softest yarn you've ever felt in the finished project. It softens up as it is being worked and then even more when soaked. I'm guessing it'll get even softer each time it's worn.
- If you haven't tried this yarn yet, you really should go order some. I promise you won't be sorry you did.
- Clover requested some "arm thingies" to match her new hat.
- How could I resist a request from such a cutie pie?
- "Arm thingies" are fingerless mitts that go up to her elbow.
- One is done, one to go.
- No pictures yet.
- I've also started a new sweater to bring to VA with me in May.
- I'm using this yarn:
- Another month has come and gone without me completing a pair of socks for the SAM9 Knit-Along.
- Maybe I'll do better this month.
- Maybe not.
- Too cute not to share:
- This is Lacey (dog) and Willy (lamb).
- Lacey belongs to my coworker, Leslie, and the lamb belongs to her niece.
- I told you they were too cute not to share!
