I finished Clover's Christmas dress today and I have to say - I LOVE IT! We tried it on her as soon as it was finished and it fits her perfectly (and will be fine if she grows a little between now and Christmas).
She looks absolutely adorable in it, but you're just going to have to take my word for it. I can't show you a modeled shot until after she has her Christmas pictures done.
Until then, how about a picture of it tacked to the closet door?

Pattern: Oriental Lily by Georgie Hallam
Mods: All the white you see in the picture is seed stitch. The pattern called for garter stitch but I like the look of seed stitch much better. The pattern would have you knit the garter edge of the bodice as you went along, but I wanted a contrasting color and seed stitch so I picked up and knit after finishing the bodice. I made the dress longer than shown in the pattern picture; this dress falls below Clover's knees. I added a crocheted flower to the top to tie it all together.
This was such a simple little knit, but I think it's my favorite yet (that may have something to do with how cute it looks on Clover)!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for good thoughts for Roger. I meant to respond to each of you individually, but I've fallen terribly behind in responding to e-mails. Please know that I really appreciate all the good wishes you sent and I shared them with Patti and Roger who were really touched by them.
