10 Least Liked Foods
1. Lima Beans - It's a texture thing
2. Beets
3. Creamed corn - I think this is a visual thing since I like corn but not when it looks like someone has already eaten it.
4. Sushi
5. Black Licorice - YUCK!
6. Cilantro - Tastes like soap to me. I once mistook this for flat leaf parsley and made spaghetti sauce with it. I kept thinking I must not have rinsed out the pot well enough because it tasted like soap. Then I noticed the tag on the leftover "parsley". Needless to say, that pot of sauce was thrown out!
7. Soy milk - I've really tried to like this because I know it's good for me; just can't do it.
8. Sardines - I have to admit that I've never actually tried sardines; I just know I hate them by the nasty smell!
9. Liver - Another texture thing.
10. Raw Clams (or oysters) - Again with the texture - this one is just plain disgusting!
This was a very difficult list for me since I really do enjoy my food!
What foods don't you like?
I like so many things on your list, but I'm not fond of lima beans, creamed corn (any corn) and liver.

I never liked the big lima beans they'd serve with school lunches, but I was brought up on butterbeans and butterpeas - basically baby limas - and absolutely love those. In fact, I'm trying out butterpeas in my garden this year because I miss them so much.

How about non-raw sushi?

I won't eat organ meat of any kind. Ever. Much like you with the soy milk, I really wanted to like hummus. I really did but the texture makes my skin crawl. One more thing: anything raw from the sea. I have a hard enough time eating those things cooked.

I like or will tolerate most of the things on your list, but I don't like:
1) ham
2) button mushrooms
3) jicama (though I will eat it)
4) frog's legs (to me they taste like fishy rubber)
5) cooked salmon (though I will also eat this)
I love sushi though.. I'll eat your share. Also the liver. And the beets (yum) and cilantro. Though all those things together would make a rather strange meal.

Wow, we dislike a lot of the same things. I would substitute brussel sprouts for the cilantro, because I like cilantro in Mexican food. I hate all those other things. GAG!

I agree with all of your list except for 3 and 6. My least favorite foods (excluding the ones on your list) are:
1. Mushrooms
2. Any kind of seafood apart from canned tuna
3. Oatmeal (tried it many, many times but cannot swallow it)
4. Grits
5. Gamey meat - including lamb, deer, rabbit and other animals like that.
Great post, Julie!

Ditto on the cilantro. I know a lot of people who count it as a favorite and I don't get it at all because it tastes like soap to me too. Ick!
