I've been known for a long time as the "Crazy Cat Lady"; I'm thinking that may change soon to the "Crazy Hat Lady".
Presenting hats #8 and #9 for the 300 Hat Project(also #3 & #4 towards my summer goal of 8 additional hats):

Pattern: Amanda Hat
Yarn: "Handspun by Laurie" (a local spinner) 100% Romney Wool

Yarn: Paton's Classic Merino, color- Regency
Needles: Size 6
This hat was started yesterday afternoon and completed last night. Now that's a quick knit!
You might think that I'd be getting a bit sick of knitting hats at this point, but I'm not. I'm really enjoying it. I think it's because I'm not making the same pattern more than twice and most of the hats have some sort of patterning so that even though its all fairly mindless knitting, it's not boring knitting. Plus it's for a good cause. Next hat up: Noodle Cozy
It hasn't been ALL hats ALL the time here at Noolieville though; there's actually been a little progress made on the Lisha Lace Scarf(another 20 row repeat) and there's been spinning. Joining the 10 Minutes a Daygroup was the best thing I've done for my spinning.
Tune in tomorrow for pics of finished yarn and what I'm spinning now.
Super hats!
That handspun Amanda really came out great...such a vibrant red...and I'm glad that it came out softer after washing...did you use vinegar, too?
And I'm anxious to see how far you've gotten on your Lisha Lace!

Hey, if you are already tagged as crazy, you might as well be crazy with the hats. They are quite fabulous and all for a good cause, right? I can think of worse ways to be crazy. (a paralyzing fear of zombies comes to mind...)

I often find that I have a bout of knitting small items and then a real need to knit a garment that takes some brain power! Those hats are cute, love thelook of the handspun too.

You are a hat machine!

I haven't knit a hat in a long time....it could be due to my large stash of hats with no homes. I've finally located a charity I think will do a good job of making sure my hats get proper homes so it may be time to start back up. I love knitting hats.

I am known in my neighborhood as the "Crazy Screaming Lady". I was attacked by a dog while walking to work one day. The dog did not win!
Love all the hats. I went through my red hat knitting last winter. I love red hats!

You just keep choosing the cutest hat patterns. I wonder though if when you're through with this project if you'll still want to knit hats.
