I've been wondering all morning why my legs and butt are so sore since I haven't been to the gym since Thursday. Then it struck me; it was all the time I spent on the floor yesterday blocking the lace wrap (which I finished knitting Friday night). Who knew blocking lace could be such a good workout?
Good workout or not, I've ordered a set of lace blocking wires to speed up the blocking process in the future. It took me forever and a gazillion pins to block this wrap!
Here's a bad picture of the wrap pinned out on my yoga mat (what, isn't that what you're supposed to do with a yoga mat?)
The room I blocked it in is pretty small and cramped so it was hard to get in a position to get a good shot; plus, I forgot to take a picture until late afternoon and had to use the flash.
It should be completely dry later on today and then I'll get hubby to help me do a photo shoot before I put it in the mail.
Have a great day!
I blocked a huge Flower Basket Shawl yesterday. Yes, it counts.
Good use for the yoga mat. I guess I should find mine and finally use it.
I can't wait to see the wrap in action.

It looks beautiful!
Are you counting it for exercise for our competition? I say if you broke a sweat, it should count.

Hmmm...maybe I need to finish that Invisibility Shawl. I could use the exercise!
That shawl looks lovely! Nice job.

If you ask me, anything that makes you hurt counts as exercise!

you're sore and there was a yoga mat involved, I think you're covered in the exercise department.
the shawl is beautiful!

I think you can totally count blocking lace as exercise. And, since you blocked on a yoga mat, that's even better! I love, love how your lace came out. Remember to take a pic of you wearing it!

MMmmm, gorgeous. And what a great idea! I have two yoga mats, neither of which has seen much yoga-doing of late.

That's what I'd use a yoga mat for if I had one! :) (And yes, it was exercise points).

That's a great way to use your yoga mat. As you experienced it gives you a good stretch too... :)
Nice wrap. I can think of several different yarns in my stash that could be used for that!
