I think I've gotten into a bit of a small project rut but I don't see anything changing until after the holidays. I thought I was pretty much done with Christmas knitting, but as it turns out, I can always find just one more gift I want to make (or two or ten)! This is okay because I'm knitting for people I really want to knit for, but I'm craving a challenge! Oh well, there'll be time after Christmas.
Until then, I'll just plug away at the small projects:
for KUTO and Month of Mittens KALs
Yarn: Trekking XXL color 126 (doubled)
Needles: size 6 dpn
Pattern: Basic Mitten Pattern - Ann Budd
Bob Hat
Basic 84 stitch hat on size 8 circulars
1.5" K1, P1 rib
Yarn: Paton's Classic Merino
The "Bob Mitt" has been renamed "Mitt".
I got to this point before accepting the fact that it was going to be way too small. It fit me, and even though I don't have the smallest hands around, I don't think mitts that fit me will fit a man. Oh well, they are now on the back burner for a while and I've begun new mitts for Bob. I'm trying a different pattern; actually it is a mix of a few different patterns. Here's where I am so far:
Jay's Boot Socks
Yarn: Lamb's Pride Worsted, Sable
Needles: size 5 dpn's
(oops, the picture looks upside down)
Felted Catnip Fishie
This got mixed reviews:
(click pics for bigger)
Ralph isn't sure at first, but eventually succumbs to the nippy goodness.
Rico loves the fishie!
Peaches Loves it; Ruby - not so much
Moogie and Ruby discuss the fish and decide - Nope, not for them.
Have a great day everyone!
I wish that I had time for a small project - specifically a hat for me - but that shawl, that shawl, I must finish that shawl.

You have been busy with the Christmas knits! I think you better start planning your next sweater for yourself.
The fish came out cute, are you going to make more for Clover's room?

What great projects! and love the nip-fish! The cats are so funny, the Smooch is indifferent to catnip but Mr.Tomstray would roll around in the potted plant...
Think Bob will model all the handknits for a photo op?

Great looking projects. I've been wanting to knit some mittens too. I love the felted fishie and it looks like it was a hit with at least one kitty.

I have finished all the New Jersey gifts. I have 3 Maine gifts left. My goodness I can not believe it. I also stuck a couple of me socks in, thanks for the nice comments. I have 3 more pair of boot socks and a scarf to knit. 29 days.

Catnip fishies! How cute!!! I fail to see how some of the felines are resisting them...

Yes, I wonder how some of the cats are able to be so disciplined.

Hey, it's still knitting even if it's little!
Love the fishie!

Your knitting looks great! If I was a kitty, I'd play with the fishie =) And it was quite clever of you to knit the Mitt to fit yourself. This way, you're sure to get a pair, too!
