I'm here. I'm hot. My room is a cell. Don't believe me? Take a look:
It's on the third floor. It's at least 5,632 degrees F in here. My pathetic little fan isn't doing anything to help. My feet are swollen; my hands are swollen. There is NO AIR in here. Did I mention it's hot?
At least I have internet access, so you can suffer with me :)
That's it for now; I'm heading over to the "Property Tax School Kickoff Reception" where refreshments are promised. "Refreshments" at Property Tax School are usually of the liquid variety. Thank Gawd, cuz I'M HOT!
wow -- that is pretty depressing. And they didn't even give you a comfy chair for knitting! crossing my fingers there is an AC'ed common area w/ nice comfy couches.

ugh. I feel your pain. looks like my room (including stupid slanted ceiling), with less clutter (well, swap in a sewing table for the bed there, too). we caved in and got a window air conditioner

Wow that is a little um, prison-like! Yikes! I wish you cool breezes and frozen beverages.

Property Tax School -- woot! You wild and crazy gal, you.

Oh my gosh...who despises you THAT MUCH to make you attend property tax school and stay in that room? Nunneries are better outfitted (and climate controlled). LOL
I feel for you (I'm laughing, but I do feel for you).

Ooo-la-la! Thems some fancy digs!

You mean you aren't thrilled to be reliving the college dorm experience?

I hate it when my legs swell in the heat so I can sympathise with you...hope it cools down soon or that the liquids served at the tax place makes you forget your ailments!

Yikes! That room is like punishment for trying to learn during the summer time. Stay as cool as possible and drink plenty of fluids. Thank heavens for "refreshments!"
Posted by: Sheepish Annie | Jul 30, 2007 at 02:45 PM
That certainly does look cell-like. What did you do to deserve such nasty digs? I hope the refreshments make it more bearable.

Jeez...
Who did you piss off to get that room?

Obviously, this class is not being held at the local "Holiday Inn"...oh, I'm sorry - but, just think you have this week-end to look forward to!!!!

So you were just making up the story about Property Tax School so that we would not figure out that you had been sent to prison, right?
Posted by: Amy | Jul 30, 2007 at 06:04 PM
Well hopefully you wont be in there much, Egads, summer camp had nicer accomidations. Get a bowl of ice stick in fornt of the fan and point the breeze at you.

I can see there is a beautiful tree outside your window. Just can't see the mini-bar.

You need a bigger fan! When I'm that hot, I go to the library, or grocery store, or movies...
Posted by: lisa | Jul 30, 2007 at 09:05 PM
Yikes - I hope it's a short trip for you!

I think...if it only had either air conditioning or it was late October, this room would be paradise. Simple to clean, no hubby and plenty of time to knit at night. Ahhh......
I think the temp in your room is very similar to my greenhouse room. Only mine is 6000 degrees and the bunny is drooping heavily. Poor Cocoa.
Many hugs, Julie and hope you get some very arctic-like breezes very soon!

Ugh!! Maybe they're plan is to liquor you into a stupor, so you won't know how miserable you are...
