THURSDAY EDITION
Where does the time go, and how is it that the work days seem to drag on FOREVER, but the evenings just fly by? I fully intended to use the Sheep's WNBP (Wednesday Night Bullet Post) format for a post last night, but by the time I was ready to sit down, it was already 8:45! WTF? How did that happen? I hadn't knit a stitch or read a single blog yet, how could it be that late?
But it was, and I had to choose between writing a WNBP, reading blogs, knitting on the Sockapalooza sock, knitting on the Simple Knitted Bodice, or doing some spinning I've been wanting to get to. The spinning won out (the fact that I want to use the resulting yarn for Clover probably influenced my decision a teensy bit). I had some of the same fiber I spun for her hat left over and am hoping I can spin enough to make a teeney tiny pair of baby mittens. I'm spinning a whole lot finer now and will have to ply this. (I really don't have a clue how to do that, but I'll figure it out.)
Check out how thin this is compared to the first batch. It's also a LOT more consistent. After spinning for about 1 1/2 hours, I took the remaining fiber and pre-drafted it so it'll be all ready for the next spinning session. Here's what I have left.
I did finally finish the cuff of my Sockapalooza pal's 2nd sock this morning.
The plan is to knit the heel and at least through the gusset decreases tonight and try to finish it tomorrow night. I really don't know what is taking me so long to knit this pair of socks. Well, that's not really true; I do know. I seem to have a bit of ADD lately and can't stay focused on only one thing. There are just so many things I want to knit, then there's Ravelry, and blog reading, and planning baby knits. I need to focus!
Speaking of blog reading, Bloglines has done something really screwy to me. One minute it said I had something like 70 blogs to read, and the next minute it said 20! I do not read that fast folks; it just willey nilley marked a bunch of my feeds as read. I am not a happy camper!
Your sockapalooza socks are really cool!
I have that same problem many evenings - lost time, very puzzling.

Bloglines has been marking older posts as new recently. Suddenly, I'm leaving comments for people on things they wrote six months ago!
The spinning is looking great!!! You are much better at predrafting than I. I tend to have big, old, clumpy clods of fiber heading down onto the spindle.

Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?

Your spinning is looking REALLY GOOD! and yeah, itty bitty mittens shouldn't take much yardage and they'll be so cute!
Bloglines get kind of tweaky now and then..

Bloglines sucks. But it's still better than any of the other feed readers I've tried.

Bloglines sometimes does loopy things. I keep getting feeds that makes it look like their are new posts, but then there are not really new posts when I link to the page. ugh!
Looks like you have some great wips.

Your spinning looks great, and your socks too. I was thinking I was just so getting it all because I got bloglines working where I can read my blog feeds, but I put myself on it and it still hasn't said I've posted (which I did over a day ago!). I have since heard bloglines doesn't do well with livejournal. Must. Move. Blog. (but when? when?)

Your spinning looks great! I've got a case of ADD when it comes to knitting, too. I have a ton of projects on the needles!

I love your spinning! Your new batch looks fab, but the first was wonderful in the babies new hat, too -- and what could be more perfect for your first skein-lette?
As for time loss, I blame Ravelry -- it's all Ravelry.

Wow! Your spinning has gotten a lot thinner, it looks awesome!! Sock is looking good too! You're not the only one who can't stay focused on S4 socks!

Lovely socks! Your spinning looks wonderful too. If I may ask, when is Miss Clover due? (I've been on a garter stitch craze lately and plan on sending her/you a little something).

Look at that handspun! Wow! You are just flying along, aren't you, Julie? I KNOW that you'll have a wheel before Spa. I just KNOW it!
Love those socks, too...lucky pal!

You're doing so well with the spinning. :D
Bloglines seems to be having issues. I had over 300 feeds listed this morning and most of them are 15 to 20 posts in the same. Lots of old familiar stuff. :?
