A few of the flowers in the yard this week.
Bleeding Hearts
Iris
Paper White Narcissus
Yellow flowers whose name I don't know. This is part of a HUGE bush that started as a teensy tiny clipping given to me by the father of a co-worker about 16 or 17 years ago. He used to bring flowers from his garden in to our office and I mentioned how much I liked this one. Next thing I knew, I had a clipping. This beautiful bush flowers for most of the summer; there is a short period of time when the flowers die and fall off, but shortly after that it is covered again with the beautiful yellow flowers.
?
Phlox (I think)
Johnny Jump-ups
Pansy
I love the bleeding hearts -- gorgeous!

I'm loving the Friday Eye Candy! You have to find out what flower that is that has the ? under it. That is beautiful.

Julie,
I love all the beautiful flowers! I believe the feathery purple one with the ? is Bachelor's Button. One of my very favorites. I love the color!
The yellow flowers have me really curious, but can't tell what they are.
I'm curious about Eye Candy Friday. I think I've seen others do it too. How can I get involved? It looks like fun!

Wow, how beautiful. I would plant some flowers this weekend, but - you know - the heavy machinery. Maybe a few in a pot.

Oh, how pretty! Most of the time I'm pretty happy with condo life. (I'll never ever have to get on a ladder and paint anything!) But each spring, I do long for a yard where I can plant some pretty things.

I second the suggestion that your blue spiky flower is a bachelor's button. They are so pretty!
I am wondering if your yellow flowers are what I think are called perennial sunflowers. I had a bush like that once, though the flowers look a little different. Are the stems woody-ish?
Thank you for sharing such gorgeous flowers with us!

Beautiful photography. The Iris colour is amazing - I'd love some sock yarn in that exact shade!

Hi! Very cool saturday evening sky pic, love the frame! That purple flower is Centaurea, or knapweed, you can google for pics. I think I have the same one in my yard...a garden variety, there are also wild types around. Nice pics of the flowers!

I hate it when it rains on my iris. This is the first year they have bloomed and have not been killed by pounding wind and rain.
