It's a beautiful, warm sunny day. The clouds you see are just light, fluffy things spread out here and there. What a difference a few days makes!
Squares have been rolling in. Check out what I've received so far:
From Left to Right, top to bottom, squares made by:
Patti, Nora in Australia, Marianne in the UK, Marianne,
Gretchen, Gina & Amanda, Charity, Carole,
22 Squares and still more than a week to go until I plan to take a day off work and join them together.
Thank you to everyone who has sent squares and everyone who is working on a square! If the finished blanket gives Betty even half the comfort that receiving the squares has given me, she'll be well comforted indeed.
The squares look great. I can see the blanket taking shape already!

Those are really interesting squares! You got some great designs! What color are you going to stitch them together with? It's probably more work than you want to do, but check out how I stitched up squares on a vest using an i-cord, here, http://knitnzu.livejournal.com/3539.html. Someplace are pics of it in progress and pics done... I wanted the squares to stand out like stained glass. You probably want different for the blanket, but it's an idea!

Julie
I just finished my square, nothing as fancy as those you posted, just plain garter. I will get it in the morning's mail. Those Inside Outs got me in the mood for garter stitch. Just to let yo know I thought about Betty while knitting this square and have included her in my prayers. I feel I have done something for a neighbor. Thanks for letting me be a part of Betty's blanket.

They look beautiful. Do you think you'll have enough? I had to fold mine to fit in the envelope - you can still see the crease! You'll have to iron it out. Sorry.

It's going to be wonderful! How long will it take you to stitch them together (my thought is to do another one or two squares and still have them in before you finish the "whipping.") Will that work?
